HCMG 3063: Environmental Health

This course provides an overview of the impact on human health from environmental and occupational risk factors. It addresses practical aspects of recognition, evaluation, and control of chemical, physical, and biological hazards, as well as basic quantitative assessment of these hazards. Additional topics include government regulations, an overview of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency, significant legal and historical influences, and current issues in the field, including the built environment.
