Why Did University of Arkansas Grantham Join the UA System?
In August 2021 the Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas approved the UA System’s acquisition of Grantham University (Lenexa, KS), a 100 percent-online institution with more than 4,000 students that shares the same mission of making high-quality education more accessible.

With the acquisition, the number of unique credentials offered by the UA System’s fully online institutions increased from 24 at eVersity to more than 60 overall, including graduate degree opportunities. The addition of UA Grantham improved the UA System’s efforts to reach underserved adults by helping to immediately offer more 100 percent-online opportunities, while also presenting an opportunity to streamline its overall approach to online education that will extend beyond Arkansas.

What is University of Arkansas Grantham?
On Nov. 1, Grantham University joined the University of Arkansas System and officially became University of Arkansas Grantham. UA Grantham is now a stronger institution with greater ability to serve the thousands of students already enrolled in more than 60 fully-online degree and certificate programs. It is an accredited institution, just like eVersity, and financial aid is available for those who qualify.

Since its founding in 1951, Grantham has been on a mission to do more for adult learners—providing more affordable and more accessible higher education. Now part of the UA System, UA Grantham is better-positioned to grow the number of quality, affordable, professionally-relevant programs it offers to learners in Arkansas, across the country and around the world.

The UA System has a tradition of excellence that includes the state’s 1871 flagship, land-grant research university; Arkansas’s premier institution for medical education, treatment and research; a major metropolitan university; an 1890 land-grant university; two regional universities serving southern and western Arkansas; seven community colleges; two schools of law; a presidential school; a residential math and science high school; a 100 percent-online university and divisions of agriculture, archeology and criminal justice. The UA System enrolls more than 70,000 students, employs over 28,000 and has a total budget of more than $4 billion.

Generally, how will the move to University of Arkansas Grantham impact me?
The simple answer is that we are doing everything possible to make the transition as seamless as we can. Tuition rates will remain the same. Current students will be placed into a parallel degree program. All your academic records will move to UA Grantham. We will handle as much of this as possible so you don’t have to lift a finger.

But UA Grantham is a different institution than eVersity and you have been around higher education long enough to know that every school does things differently. Courses will look a little different, you will get a new student ID and email address, etc. But the differences will be minor and we know you can handle it. And, rest assured, you will have staff at both eVersity and UA Grantham committed to making this transition as smooth as we can. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your academic success advisor or email us at

Will my tuition increase?
No. The tuition rate at UA Grantham will be the same for you that you currently have at eVersity.

Will there be any fees at UA Grantham?
When you enrolled at eVersity we pledged you would not have fees. We are honoring that pledge and you will not pay any fees or tuition increases at UA Grantham, so long as you remain enrolled and continue to make progress toward your degree.

I currently receive financial aid. Will I continue to receive financial aid at UA Grantham?
As you know, financial aid is sometimes complicated and we will do everything possible to make sure your move to UA Grantham happens in a way that maximizes the financial aid available to you. We are planning special outreach efforts to our students who receive financial aid, so look for additional messages in the near future. Sit tight for now, there’s no reason to worry.

Is UA Grantham accredited?
Like eVersity, UA Grantham is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accreditor. UA Grantham has also earned accreditation from the Accrediting Board of Engineering and Technology, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing and the International Accreditation Council for Business Education.

How will my courses be different?
While you’ve grown accustomed to eVersity’s unique approach of offering one course at a time for six weeks, seven times annually. UA Grantham is structured a little differently. Students take up to two courses at a time during an eight-week span and potentially reach the finish line quicker. The courses will likely look and feel a bit different while we work to arrive at a common model, but they will meet the same high standards you have come to expect with eVersity’s award-winning coursework. We will ensure you meet with your academic success advisor in the coming months to discuss the details and set you up for success in the transition. Again, we also encourage you to begin browsing UA Grantham to learn more about what to expect.

I noticed UA Grantham has more degree options than eVersity. Can I change degree programs?
Yes. If there is a degree program that better fits your needs we will work with you to change degree programs and evaluate how it might impact your time to graduation. (For example, if you change from Business to Nursing, it may take you longer to graduate since your Business courses will not apply to your Nursing degree.) But it is your degree and you should always choose what best fits your needs.

Will I need to re-apply for admission?

Will my previous school transcripts be sent to UA Grantham?
Yes. We will handle your student records so you don’t have to do a thing.

Will the credits I earned at eVersity all transfer to UA Grantham?
Yes. If eVersity gave you credit for prior learning, that credit will be recognized by UA Grantham.

Does my current GPA go with me as I transition into UA Grantham?

Does my honors standing transfer?

What will my diploma and transcript look like?
If you graduate after the June 2022 term, your degree will be awarded from UA Grantham. Transcripts will also be provided by eVersity until then.

Will my degree program be the same at UA Grantham as it is at eVersity?
We are making every effort to move students into a paralleled degree program. For example, if you are a business student at eVersity you will be a business student at UA Grantham. If you are a criminal justice student at eVersity, you will be a criminal justice student at UA Grantham. Every course you have taken at eVersity will transfer and you will be on the same path to graduation. That is, if you have five classes to graduate at eVersity, you will have five courses left at UA Grantham. No student will take a step backwards in terms of time to graduation. You will receive more information about this process and will be contacted by an academic advisor.

Will I access my classes the same way?
UA Grantham uses Blackboard, just like eVersity. Once you are moved to UA Grantham, we will provide you with new logon instructions.

When is the integration final?
We anticipate the universities will be fully integrated by July, but some students may move more quickly.

Will I be reissued a degree from UA Grantham?

What graduate programs are offered?
UA Grantham has 15 master’s degree programs from which to choose. To learn more go here.

How do I apply for a graduate program?
You can apply quickly online at

Do I get the eVersity tuition rate for graduate degree programs?
As you know, eVersity did not offer graduate programs and the tuition rates for graduate programs are commonly higher than undergraduate programs. We anticipate offering special incentives to eVersity graduates to pursue graduate degrees with UA Grantham. Stay tuned for more details.

Will I be able to be active in an alumni association?
UA Grantham does not currently have an alumni association, but plans are underway to explore options for future engagement with graduates. As an eVersity graduate, you will receive notification to be a part of any alumni-related activity or program. We also encourage you to follow UA Grantham on social media to stay informed about any developments.

Will I still receive my employer’s discount?
If you are a currently enrolled student and continue on your path, nothing regarding your tuition and discount will change.

Is there a discount available for new employer alliance applicants?
Yes. New applicants and alliance members through our program will be given an opportunity for discounts. We will be reaching out to our current Alliances with more details in the coming weeks, and plan to keep and grow an alliance program at UA Grantham.

I’ve already applied through the Alliance program but am not currently taking classes. Can I still receive the same rate as eVersity?
Yes. All applicants to eVersity, whether through the alliance program or not, will be given an opportunity to continue at UA Grantham under eVersity’s current tuition rate.

How do I start the process to get enrolled again?
We will be adding a form to fill out soon, but it’s always a good idea to reach out to your academic success advisor or email
