City of Bryant Sees a Bright Future

It didn’t take long for the City of Bryant to recognize the power of education in making communities healthier, happier and equipped for future growth.

Bryant Mayor Jill Dabbs was in attendance when Michael Moore, Ph.D., chief academic/operating officer at the University of Arkansas System eVersity, spoke to a civic organization about the state’s new 100 percent-online university and liked what she heard.

The relationship led to eVersity being a part of the community’s annual health fair and further conversations with Charlotte Rue, the city’s director of human resources.

“We see eVersity as an opportunity for our employees and for people all over the state of Arkansas to achieve their education goals,” Rue said. “eVersity sets itself apart by making it easier and more accessible for people to earn certificates and degrees. There are many of our over 200 employees across all of our departments who could really benefit from what eVersity has to offer. “
