Moore Elected to Serve as Vice Chair of WCET Executive Committee

Michael Moore, Ph.D., chief academic and operating officer at the University of Arkansas System eVersity, recently assumed the vice chairmanship of the national WCET Executive Committee, a cooperative organization that promotes educational technology strategies for the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE).

Elected by his WCET colleagues, Moore is in his third year of a three-year appointment to the WCET Executive Council, which serves as the strategic advisory group to the executive director on issues related to membership, annual dues, strategic priorities, policies and other issues brought forth by the Steering Committee, the executive Director and the WICHE President. The WCET Executive Council also reviews the organization’s budget in relation to strategic priorities.

“Our goals at eVersity fall directly in line with those of WCET, which are largely aimed at developing and accelerating smart and efficient strategies to advance technology enhanced teaching and learning,” Moore said. “It’s an honor to represent my staff and our 100 percent-online institution among such a like-minded, well-respected group of national leaders in online learning.”

WCET is a membership-driven, non-profit provider of strategies and services that accelerate the adoption of effective practices and policies, advancing excellence in technology-enhanced teaching and learning in higher education.
